when a new year is born

I don't ever remember being so eager and conscious to take in the moment when a new year is born. It is intriguing to know the true difference between the turn of a year and that of a day, which makes all this fuss.

So this year I was sitting on my bed awaiting for the New Year to come, in an attempt to detect the faintest changes in time, to hear perhaps the magical sound a new year sings.

Tick Tack Tick...Tick Tack Tick... The moment itself was as peaceful and silent as any other midnights in the year, yet there was a hint of new light and prospect - a prospect that stemmed from deepest hope within me for a fruitful year ahead.

Then at the first moment of 2009, I made a wish.
